I need the weather to cooperate.

Girl in Red

Remember

I have really been enjoying the stencil class but I haven’t been able to spray outdoors because of the heat. It’s been over 100 for many days in a row recently. And if it’s not the heat it’s the wind.

So what I have been working on is searching for and cutting a few stencils. I have found some great precut stencils at Michael's and some great free images online that I can use as stencils.

Here are some free images sites that I found. You’ll see that they are scroll saw patterns but you can use the images for cutting stencils. They work great!

So I think today will be better, it’s only supposed to get to 94 degrees (only?). If you come over tonight after dinner, you’ll probably find me wearing my mask while holding my new spray paint colors, yellow and colonial red. Oh before I forget, you’re invited to come play.  I’ll share my other colors but can you bring some Forrest green spray paint with you? See you later.

  1. Linda I sure wish I could send you some of our cool weather your way so you could work on your project.
Sounds so very hot where you are! Although, after having the worst spring and summer weather I've ever seen, I would love the chance to be sweltering in that kind of heat right now.(at least for a couple of days, lol!).
Your stencils are looking great! I like what you wrote on your second one, very intriguing...is the last word 'her'?

  2. Hi, Linda! If I lived nearby, I'd be over with Forest Green and play spray paint with you! In the past, when I've had trouble spraying because of wind, we took a big piece of cardboard and used it as a "wind break". If you can find a really big cardboard box, where you can cut off one side, and still work in it ... either from the top or from the side ... it can really help cut down the wind and let you keep working.

By the way, I've nominated you for The Circle of Friends Blog Award as part of my first blogoversary celebration. I appreciate your frequent visits and comments! It means so much! :-)
